ALM supplementary bulletin: May 2019

We would like to draw your attention to the additional item below that may be of interest to readers of the ALM bulletin. This is an important project and your help would be much appreciated.

Common European Numeracy Framework (CENF)

In December 2018 the ERASMUS+ project CENF commenced and involves four countries - The Netherlands, Austria, Spain and Ireland. The aim of the project is to first develop a common framework for numeracy education in Europe and then use the framework to expand, strengthen, and improve the current practices in adult numeracy.
As part of the project, the 2019 European Numeracy Survey will be conducted across as many European countries as possible during May. The survey will be on the state of affairs in Adult Numeracy Education in your country or region. We are in the process of identifying which person or persons are the best equipped to answer the survey in different countries. If you have any ideas or suggestions on who we could approach in your country or region, please don’t hesitate to contact either kees.hoogland@hu.nl or niamh.omeara@ul.ie.

Amendment

Please would you also note that the dates that appeared on the May bulletin for the 26th International Conference in Adults Learning Mathematics in Lund, Sweden were incorrect. The correct dates are those on the ALM website, July 7th -10th.
